On photographing Staffordshire Bull Terrier Rescue Dogs.
It is exhilarating to know a photograph you have taken helps find these unfortunate dogs a new home. For over seven years I photographed rescue dogs for Stafford Rescue Victoria .There will always be the ones that really pull on the heart strings in particular the ones that have had a really bad start to life.
The majority have been dumped through no fault of their own and while there are often genuine cases for surrender there are many that are not; this saddens me greatly.
Pounds wretched places that they are generally provide no area where a decent photograph can be taken .Two good clear photographs are needed ,one a head shot and a full body shot . If time permitting an action shot grabs peoples attention and that is the whole point that people see the dog in its best light .
There are endless opportunities with so many dogs and cats in need of a good home,so get out there and help these unfortunates get a second chance at life.May I add it’s also very good practice for anyone who photographs pets !
