Dog Agility.

Not long now until the Royal Melbourne Show.So many events to see and so expensive if you have to buy more than one ticket.Still waiting to see if I get my media pass,if not will be a one day only for the Dog agility and anything else that happens to be on that day.Last year managed to see part of the Showjumping,magnificent horses around what looked to be an Olympic style course.Advance Dog food sponsored the agility last year and it was fantastic although I would have loved to  get closer to the jumps,which is not allowed as it could distract the dogs .

7 LWSRoyal Horse Show,Melbourne.

It is such a pleasure to see so many well turned out horses and their owners at these events.There is always  a variety of many magnificent breeds ,from the very large cart horse to tiny little ponies ,all immaculately  groomed  .I can imagine as I once owned horses myself, this is indeed an expensive hobby with the upkeep and expense of the horse only a minor part on the costs for entering such an event as this.

Parks,Beach or where ???

I like to get out and scout for new locations something a bit different and something not too far away.

Have been on the lookout for outstanding graffiti which is hard to find believe it or not .So much amateur stuff out there and so much of the good stuff has been vandalized.The beach is always a good place but hard to get it all to yourself ,parks vary so much,looking at finding a wetlands or something else with water .Dogs love a new environment so I keep this in mind and give them the  time for a look around and a good sniff before we start our photo shoot, otherwise  attention span nil !!

Some dogs are just not into posing ,they do anything they can to avoid the camera.Another reason why I prefer to photograph in the great outdoors , its easier to get the dog on your side and relax more playing in the park or at the beach. Thanks to some basic dog training and behavioural training  I have done in the past ,I can always get around this problem. It may take longer but the end result is well worth the effort,plus I have  a huge amount of patience with animals.
